Sheikh Puji sentenced to 4 Years Prison


After repeated trials which took a long time, defendant breach the Child Protection Act, Pujiono Cahyo Widianto (or known as Sheikh Puji) was sentenced to four years in prison and a fine of 60 million rupiah subsidiary of four months in prison, by the Ungaran District Court judge, Semarang regency, Central Java, on Wednesday (November 24, 2010).

Sheikh Puji is also presumed to wedge right of the child for having married Lutviana Ulfa, which on August 8, 2008 was only 12 years old.

Decision of the judges is lower than the demands of the prosecutor who demanded the defendant to prison for six years and fined as much as 60 million rupiah subsidiary of six months in prison.
