Tor Tor Dance

Tor-Tor dance is a traditional dance from Batak tribe in North Sumatra, a dance rhythm with a musical accompaniment (Margondang). There is no certainty of data, who is the creator of this dance or when the dance was first played. According to the story, they danced the Tor-Tor when there is a customary ritual, such as marriage, nor the king's inauguration. This dance is also often played when there are family members who died, also. But now, Tor-Tor is not only played when there is a special ritual, Tor-Tor is also a welcome dance when there are tourists visiting the North Sumatra.

Mentawai Islands

Mentawai Islands are part of a series of non-volcanic islands located at 150 km off the west coast of Sumatra Island. This regency consists of four islands: Siberut, Sipora, Pagai Utara (North Pagai) and Pagai Selatan (South Pagai) island, inhabited by a majority of the people of Mentawai tribe. There are several other small islands (total of 213 Islands), mostly uninhabited.

Mentawai has several endemic species that are protected. Four of them are primates, namely Simakobu or pig tail monkey (Simias concolor), Bilou or dwarf siamang (Hylobates klossii), Joja or Mentawai langur (Presbytis potenziani), and Bokkoi or Mentawai monkey (Macaca Siberut).

Mentawai Islands is a tourist destination. Besides the existence of unexploited rainforests on the islands, the main potential of the Mentawai Islands are the waves are rolling and well suited to be a place of surfing. Its location directly overlooking the Indian Ocean, provide a consistent waves the Mentawai Islands throughout the year.

Komodo Island

Komodo island is located at Komodo district, West Manggarai regency, East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. Since 1980, this area was used as an National Park by the Government of Indonesia, then recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in 1986. Komodo Island is known as a habitat for native animals 'Komodo dragon'. This island is also the Komodo National Park which is managed by the Central Government.

Komodo dragons live and breed well in the Komodo island. Until August 2009, there are about 1,300 Komodo dragons in this island. Coupled with the other islands, such as Rinca and Gili Motang, there are about 2500 Komodoes.

Candi Mendut (Mendut Temple)

Mendut is one of the Buddhist temple in Indonesia. This temple is located in the village Mendut, Mungkid district, Magelang regency, Central Java, only 3 kilometers to the east from Borobudur temple. Mendut is older than Borobudur.

Mendut founded during the reign of King Indra from Syailendra dynasty. Based on Karangtengah inscription (824 AD), it mentioned that the king Indra has built a shrine called Wenuwana (bamboo forest). Inside Mendut, there are three big statue. Sakyamuni (who turns the wheel of Dharma), Avalokitesvara (the Bodhisatwa who helps mankind), and Maitreya (the future Buddha)
